How Our Auctions Work

The Prospectors Club in conjunction with Richmond Auctions hosts live gold nugget auctions 3 times a year. These auctions are the largest live gold nugget auctions in the world and have consistently brought in impressive results, monster gold nuggets and rare crystalline pieces.

All of the gold is sourced by Tyler and her team in outback WA and exported into the States for the live auction. We are proud of the impact these auctions are having on the industry and are committed to bringing impressive Australian nuggets to the international stage. Australian prospectors in outback Australia have spent centuries in grueling conditions on the hunt for gold and helping share this hard work with collectors from around the world is a major win for us at TPC. We are prospectors, we get how bloody hard gold is to find and we appreciate those who appreciate the provenance.

How to Register & Bid

Bidding takes place through Richmond Auctions' online platform. You can register and bid directly through their website, and they also offer a free mobile app for iOS and Android so you can manage your bids from anywhere.

Auction Categories

Richmond Auctions runs separate catalogs for different item types, including Automobilia, Petroliana, Country Store collectibles, Firearms, and Sportsman Collectibles. Items offered through The Prospectors Club will be listed in the relevant catalog.

Bidding Process

All auctions are live events. Bid increments start at $25 for items up to $500 and scale up from there. The auctioneer has final discretion over bid advances and any disputes. At the call of "SOLD," the highest bidder becomes the purchaser — all sales are final.

Buyer's Premium & Fees

• Buyer's Premium: 15% added to all digital platform purchases
• Credit Card Fee: 3% convenience fee on all credit card payments
• Late Payment Fee: 2% per month on any unpaid balances

Payment

Payment is due within 3 calendar days of the auction closing. Accepted payment methods include major credit cards, electronic checks, cashier's checks, bank wire transfer, and cash at pickup.

Shipping & Pickup

Richmond Auctions ships via UPS, FedEx, or USPS. Items can also be picked up in person during posted pickup days and times at their location: 526 Congaree Road, Greenville, SC 29607. Note that all items are sold AS-IS with no warranties — no refunds or exchanges.
