The Prospectors Club ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit theprospectorsclub.shop or buy from us, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what control you have over it.
We are based in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, and we sell to customers around the world.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you place an order, create an account, join our mailing list, enter a giveaway, leave a review or contact us, we collect information such as your name, email address, postal and billing address, phone number and the contents of your message.
Payment information. Card and bank details are collected and processed by our payment providers, not by us. We never see or store your full card number. For bank transfers, we receive the account details you choose to send us.
Information collected automatically. When you browse our site we collect device and usage information — IP address, browser type, operating system, referring website, pages viewed and time spent — through cookies and similar technologies.
How we use it
- To process and ship your order, and to communicate with you about it
- To arrange export documentation and customs clearance for international shipments
- To provide customer support and respond to enquiries
- To send marketing emails about gold drops, auctions and new stock, where you have subscribed

Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, and only as far as they need it:
- Shopify — our e-commerce platform, which hosts our store and processes orders
- Payment processors — to take payment and screen for fraud
- Shipping and logistics providers — to deliver your order, including customs authorities where an international shipment requires it
- Email marketing providers — to send our newsletters and drop announcements
- Review platforms — to invite and publish product reviews
- Analytics and advertising providers — including Google and Meta, to measure site performance and advertising
We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our terms, or in connection with a sale or restructure of the business.
International transfers
We are in Australia and several of our providers are based overseas, including in the United States and the European Union. This means your information may be stored or processed outside your country of residence. Where we transfer information internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected.
Cookies and tracking
We use cookies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, measure site traffic and support advertising. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not function properly if you do.
Marketing
We only send marketing emails to people who have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email, or by contacting us. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop transactional messages about an order you have placed.
How long we keep it
We keep order and transaction records for as long as required by Australian tax and business record-keeping law. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you. Other information is kept only as long as we need it for the purposes described above.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access and disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct information that is inaccurate or out of date
- Delete your information, where we are not required to keep it
- Stop sending you marketing
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Provide your information in a portable format

Children
Our site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.

If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, Australian customers can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
